James has worked in the Employment Services sector since 2004, undertaking a variety of operational and executive roles in the UK (across New Deal, Employment Zone, Pathways to Work and the Work Programme) and Australia (jobactive, NEIS and Work for the Dole Coordinator).
In 2019 James established his own business, Populi Solutions. Populi offers consulting and leadership coaching services to human service, purpose-led organisations. Populi also runs innovative programmes to support clients of welfare services including GLOVES, a boxing-for-jobs initiative (in partnership with several employment service providers and gyms across Australia) and an addiction programme (in partnership with PLP Solutions).
James started working with Parkhouse Bell in 2021 in an advisory capacity as the Australian welfare sector prepares for a transformational new employment services model. In his spare time James enjoys spending time with his family, writing fiction and co-hosting a movie podcast.
